Waste water treatment

Wastewater treatment plants include primary, secondary and tertiary. Primary is the normal treatment where remove visible particles, 35% BOD and 60% SS meanwhile providing disinfection. Secondary treatment plants (CWA) involves microbial oxidation of waste to remove 90% of BOD and SS. Tertiary is to remove nutrients, dissolved material and biologically resistant substances.

Screen – Communitor – Grit Chamber (Gravity/Velocity Controlled Grit Removal, Aerated Systems, Cyclone Degritter) – Primary Clarifier (Rectangular Basin and Double deck rectangular basin depending on overflow rate)

In secondary treatment, suspended growth treatment and attached growth treatment. SGT Activate Sludge are cheaper, less land consumer, insects and odor resist meanwhile provide higher BOD removal. Yet, it requires expertise and more energy for pumps and blowers. SGT Membrane Bioreactors is more expensive and less durable as it combines with Activate Sludge. SGT Aerated Lagoons and Oxidation Ponds involved Raw Sewage Stabilization Pond, Oxidation Pond and Polishing Pond. Types of ponds are aerobic ponds/aerated ponds, facultative pond and anaerobic pond. AGT involves trickling filters and Rotating Biological Contactors.

Sludge treatment separate water from solids and stabilize the sludge. Anaerobic Digestion and Two Stage Digestion.
